Key Accountabilities/Outcomes

Workforce Planning and Management

  • Collaborate with leaders and managers to forecast compensation budgets, workforce and operational requirements whilst considering budget constraints.
  • Generate workforce planner and budget template.
  • Update organization chart in Associate Central to reflect approved workforce budget.
  • Track reallocation of funds between budgeted and non-budgeted positions and revision of fixed compensation package components due to promotion, demotion or base pay adjustments.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Generate and share recruitment requisitions for necessary approvals as per approved budget.
  • Generate sample payslips for candidates.
  • Process new associate entries in Sage 300 People and complete all fields required for calculation of earnings, deduction and benefits.
  • Process new associate entries in Liber8 and complete all fields required for immediate activation of life cover.

Offboarding

  • Update applicable HRIS and calculate final payment including leave pay.

Overtime and Allowances

  • Control Jarrison Time periodic summaries submitted for processing and allocate attendance and promptness bonuses.

Payroll Administration and Payment

  • Accountable for reviewing and processing all requests submitted to the Sage ESS HR inbox.
  • Ensure accurate processing of all earnings, deductions and benefits for the payrolls.
  • Identify and escalate any payroll input that is incomplete or not received.
  • Submit ACB Report, Net Pay Analysis, Variance Report and Banking Information Audit Report for review.
  • Submit bank file for FNB import by Human Resources and Finance.
  • Deploy payslips to Sage ESS and email.

Qualification/Skills/Experience

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or Certificate in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Sage 300 People Payroll Administrator
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Communication skills with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
