Purpose Of The Role
As an Architect/ interior designer you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the design of creative projects in the retail store design division for the Spec-Savers and Execuspecs Group. You will be required to lead the design process, collaborate with other team members, and deliver high quality design work that meets the client's needs and objectives, whilst adhering to Landlord requirements, building requirements, within budget and deliver projects on time.

Minimum Requirements
Requirements:

  • Diploma or B-Tech in Architecture, Interior Design, or related qualification.
  • 2 years' experience in Interior architecture, Architecture drafting and excellent conceptual design and space planning skills
  • Detailed design development – working drawings
  • Work with large format graphics.
  • 2 years practical experience in CAD.
  • 2 years practical experience in Revit.
  • 2 years practical experience in Coral Draw or Photoshop.
  • Well versed in the full Microsoft suite.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing design concepts, sketches, and prototypes for various retail spaces, new stores and refurbishments of older stores.
  • Collaborating with other team members, including project managers, other designers, and where needs be the leasing department, to ensure the final design meets the client's needs, project requirements and being fully compliant with all legislative requirements.
  • Communication design ideas and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, contractors and team members, balancing the client's needs carefully against budgetary requirements, timelines, and building requirements.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to client signoff and approval.
  • Supervising junior designers and providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
