Data Science Head – NAVi

Are you a data scientist who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads with purpose, and learns fast? Do you combine technical depth with product intuition, and care deeply about improving customer experiences through AI? NAVi is our virtual assistant platform that's transforming how we serve millions of customers—making every second count. We're looking for someone who can lead with vision, build advanced machine learning solutions, and drive innovation that matters.

NAVi is FNB's virtual assistant platform designed to help customers resolve queries faster and more intuitively across chat, voice, and search. It combines generative AI and smart automation to deliver seamless, personalized support—because each second counts.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience leading data science teams in product-driven environments
  • Strong background in machine learning, predictive modelling, and NLP
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern tech stacks
  • Ability to work across disciplines—engineering, product, operations
  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Bonus: Experience with virtual assistant technologies or LLMs
