Role Overview

The
Business Analyst (BA)
plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The BA gathers and analyzes business requirements, identifies process improvements, and supports the design and implementation of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and challenges.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions to document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into
    functional and non-functional specifications
    .
  • Validate and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.

Process Improvement

  • Analyze existing workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies or areas for automation.
  • Recommend and document
    process enhancements
    using Lean / Six Sigma or other improvement methodologies.
  • Support change management initiatives and help ensure smooth adoption of new processes or systems.

Solution Design & Support

  • Collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects, QA) to design, test, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Create and maintain
    business process models, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    .
  • Support project delivery by monitoring timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide training, documentation, and post-go-live support to end users.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Advantageous to have banking or financial services experience.
  • Strong knowledge of
    business process mapping, documentation standards, and requirement-gathering techniques
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Agile / Scrum
    and
    Waterfall
    project methodologies.
  • Experience with
    business analysis tools
    (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart).
