Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Officer to support our HR function and ensure seamless management of employee lifecycle processes. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration while maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for employees (Operator level and below).

  • Facilitate onboarding and smooth integration of new employees.

  • Administer employment contracts, relevant documentation, and terminations.

  • Handle internal transfers and employee queries professionally.

  • Maintain accurate electronic employee files and staff lists.

  • Administer IOD cases, employee uniforms, and mandatory training interventions.

  • Advise managers on performance review intervals and track completed reviews.

  • Conduct satisfaction surveys and maintain records of feedback.

  • Compile monthly HR reports, including staff movements, absenteeism, and disciplinary actions.

  • Maintain updated organograms and relief pool employee lists.

  • Take minutes at HR or management meetings as required.

  • Assist HR Manager with projects, programs, events, research, and resource allocation.

  • Provide backup support for payroll and assist with required documentation.

  • Facilitate the YES Program and Learnerships.

  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive HR information.

  • Perform ad-hoc HR duties as required.

Reporting Requirements:

  • Monthly submission of key HR metrics including staff numbers, movements, absenteeism, disciplinary actions, pending DRC cases, and vacant position status.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of employment processes, labour legislation, and HR best practices.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR management systems.
