Where you'll work

This rapidly-growing startup in the visual journalism and AR space promotes empathy, equality, and different perspectives by helping people from all walks of life to tell their stories through innovative means. Augmented Reality is at the heart of the business model and allows them to guide and direct content creators and citizens through the storytelling process.

How you'll role

As the output editor, you'll have the mandate to drive innovation in news while working with video editors, producers, and journalists across the globe. Most importantly, you'll need to ensure that targets are met and output is maintained to the highest standards to keep the audience of 6M+ engaged.

What you'll do

• Work closely with senior editorial managers to ensure targets are met and output is maintained
• Oversee the international team of video editors, producers, and journalists
• Drive innovation in content creation (you'll have full editorial control)
• Select and compile material and production
• Plan and implement effective use of resources
• Report on and increase viewers, watch times, & subscribers 
• Ensure the highest standards of fact-checking and verification of all content that is produced

What you'll need

• The ability to make tough ethical and editorial decisions
• An excellent understanding of social media platforms and trends, especially among younger users (13 – 24 year-old Americans)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in social media video publishing
• A thorough understanding of user analytics across different platforms (Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
• A desire to learn and innovate
• A great personality and the ability to communicate your ideas and progress to the team
