Are you a qualified Plant Engineer with a GCC Factories certification and experience in leading and managing engineering departments, including facility and equipment maintenance, technical projects, and HSE compliance? Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee operations in both South Africa and Nigeria.

Position: Plant Engineer

Location: Gauteng and Nigeria

Reports to: Plant Manager

What You'll Do:

·
Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance department to ensure plant availability and operational

excellence.

·      Oversee technical projects, capital expenditure, and feasibility aligned with production profitability.

·      Drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime, inventory control, and cost efficiency.

·      Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards.

·      Develop and manage SAP maintenance systems and foster a customer-centric culture.

·      Prepare and manage factory budgets, CapEx, and cost-saving initiatives.

·      Build collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

·
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

·      GCC Factories (advantageous)

·      Minimum 5 years' engineering management experience in manufacturing

·      Strong project management and multi-project coordination skills

  • SAP proficiency and knowledge of inventory/spares management
