We're looking for a Junior Designer who's creative, detail-oriented, and eager to turn ideas into visually powerful assets. You'll work with EVG's design and marketing teams to produce graphics, presentations, and digital content that help our clients grow and stand out.

About the Role

The Junior Designer role is perfect for someone who loves creating clean, high-quality visuals across multiple formats - from social media to pitch decks. You'll translate briefs into on-brand designs, follow creative direction from senior designers, and help ensure consistency across EVG's wide range of client brands.

You'll receive structured onboarding, mentorship, and opportunities to learn advanced design workflows used across EVG's global team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital and print materials including social posts, ads, web graphics, and presentation slides.
  • Work with creative briefs to deliver assets that align with strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and marketers to bring campaigns to life.
  • Prepare and organize files for handoff to developers or animation teams.
  • Maintain consistent visual standards across all client deliverables.
  • Assist in creating and refining design templates and systems in Figma, Canva, or Adobe CC.
  • Contribute fresh ideas to creative sessions and campaign concepts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

Working knowledge of social media design requirements (ratios, readability, platform specs).

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of balance, alignment, and color.

Basic understanding of brand identity systems and visual consistency.

Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or similar field.

Portfolio that demonstrates both creativity and execution quality.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience designing presentation decks (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Pitch).
  • Familiarity with short-form video or motion design tools (After Effects, CapCut, or Canva Video).
  • Understanding of responsive design principles or web layout preparation.
  • Exposure to workflow tools like Asana, Notion, or Slack.

Compensation

R 10,000 – R 14,000 per month

Includes hybrid work flexibility, mentorship, and access to real client brand portfolios.

Growth Path

0–1 year: Junior Designer

1–3 years: Mid-Level Designer (R 15,000 – R 20,000)

3–5 years: Senior Designer or Art Director (R 25,000 – R 35,000)
