Junior Draftsman

, we build high-end, luxury expedition trucks and habitat living spaces onto truck chassis. Our workshop is based in Parow Industria (Cape Town), and we're looking for junior and drive operational excellence.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands quality and attention to detail. We are prioritizing applicants who have previous experience or exposure in a production environment or similar field. Our goal is to find a proactive individual who takes initiative and communicates well.

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed 3D models and technical drawings for motorhome assemblies, components, and systems and following through to the final production phase. The position includes overseeing the final production and instillation of your design into our final product.

• Programming, nesting, and operating CNC and laser cutting machinery

• Conducting quality checks on CNC and laser-cut parts

• Handling project development tasks and troubleshooting technical issues with the design and production of the part

• Collaborating closely between the design and production teams

Skills and Competencies:

• Some experience in SolidWorks with an understanding of technical drawing and CNC programming.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and work under pressure.

• Deadline-oriented and detail-focused, ensuring all tasks meet our quality standards in the appropriate time frame.

• Able to take initiative on your tasks, while working in a collaborative environment with our head designer

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification and or experience in a similar field
• Production or manufacturing experience
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Has been exposed to /or used CNC systems and production processes.
• Knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and wood is advantageous
