Role Description:

The
Assistant Stylist
will support the Styling Team at the Distribution Centre (
DC, in Montague Gardens)
in creating compelling fashion imagery for Superbalist. Responsibilities include preparing products for photoshoots, assisting in styling garments and accessories, maintaining a well-organised studio, and coordinating with photographers, models, and other team members to execute the creative vision. The role also involves monitoring quality standards to ensure products are presented in alignment with the brand's aesthetic.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with product preparation for photoshoots (steaming, tagging, organising fashion and homeware products.)
  • Assemble and build homeware products for shoots.
  • Ensure studio setup is clean, organised and ready for daily shoots.
  • Removing all tags and retag correctly when done – MUST accompany the correct clothing item and hanger.
  • Daily repacking of all stills items into correct packaging once shot and making sure nothing is damaged.
  • Managing studio stock inventory via stock system
  • Meticulous adherence to studio workflow process and stock management process regarding communication between Studio & Production.

Minimum Requirements and Experience:

  • Diploma or certificate in Fashion-styling, fashion design, or related fields is a plus
  • 1+ years experience work in fashion or photographic studio
  • Must be able to work over-time if and when required
  • Understanding of fashion styling, trends, and garment preparation
  • Organisational skills for managing photoshoot logistics and studio coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality standards
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills for working in a creative team environment
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced, high-energy settings
  • Passion for fashion and knowledge of the retail industry is advantageous

Minimum Competencies, skills and knowledge:

  • Ability to deliver in a fast paced environment, remain proactive and professional, adapt to rapid change
  • Able to work well individually and motivate as part of a team within deadlines
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, time management and communication skills
  • Exceptional eye for detail
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in all office related software
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Strong understanding of online retail
  • Passion for fashion and interiors
  • Problem solving: Ability to prioritize, collaborate and manage various tasks at one time until they are resolved
  • Committed, reliable and able to meet deadlines
