Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pretoria for the position of Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, manage account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, conducting variance analysis, and supporting audits. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior accounting staff and streamlining accounting processes to enhance organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Variance Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, Reconciliation, and Accounts Payable/Receivable.
  • Experience with Internal Controls, Audit Preparation, and Compliance with Accounting Standards.
  • Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Attention-to-Detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Accounting Software (e.g., Xero or similar) and Advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to mentor and lead junior staff.
  • Candidates with strong knowledge of South African tax or professional tax experience will be preferred
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting principles is an advantage.
