Laboratory Assistant

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in English to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • An minimum educational background of MBO3, with training or certification in quality control or laboratory techniques is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a quality control laboratory or a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail in handling laboratory-specific quality control tasks.
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and preparation of quality control experiments and tests, including organizing materials, maintaining instruments, and ensuring their proper functioning.
  • Record and maintain accurate data and laboratory notes, ensuring proper documentation for quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with various partners and service providers to facilitate day to day operations.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and work areas to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at all times.
