Supplier Relationship Management Lead

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Develop and supervise the implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) policies, programmes, procedure and processes for all suppliers, with a focus on suppliers classified as strategic or critical to the SARB.
  • Develop and supervise the implementation of a framework to monitor, manage and report on supplier risk to ensure business continuity for the SARB. 
  • Manage the portfolio of high-risk suppliers to mitigate reputational risk.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to continuously monitor the performance of suppliers within the SRM Programme and implement performance controls, where required. 
  • Work closely with business to identify critical and strategic suppliers in the high-risk category. 
  • Take responsibility for the onboarding and off-boarding process for critical and strategic suppliers for high-risk suppliers.
  • Prepare standing and ad hoc reports for various stakeholders regarding the SRM function, the results of SRM activities and supplier risk information, as required.
  • Collaborate with strategic suppliers to identify innovation opportunities and enable continuous improvement for a more effective and efficient supply chain. 
  • Facilitate and manage the resolution process for supplier performance issues for high-risk suppliers that are outside of the SRM Programme, where appropriate.
  • Manage relationships, and lead and participate in internal and external stakeholder engagements 
  • Stay abreast of developments in the procurement field and initiate and oversee the implementation of improvements to procurement methods and practices.
