We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our convenience store located at a busy petrol filling station. The successful candidate will ensure efficient store performance, excellent customer service, and compliance with all operational and safety standards.

Requirements

-‌ Fit, strong, and in good health

-‌ Literate in English and Zulu (spoken and written)

‌- Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Email (Arch experience an advantage)

-‌ Matric (with Mathematics preferred)

‌- Tertiary education in inventory management or related field advantageous

-‌ Certificates in First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Food Hygiene preferred

-‌ Experience in marketing will be an advantage

Key Job Functions

‌ - Take notes and minutes during meetings.

‌-Work effectively as part of a team.

-‌ Supervise and manage shop staff.

-Prepare and manage staff duty schedules.

-Enforce the company's disciplinary code and procedures.

‌- Monitor and oversee stock re-order levels.

-‌ Conduct regular stock and cycle counts.

-‌ Ensure stock is correctly displayed by merchandisers.

-‌Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly.

‌- Work efficiently under pressure and during peak periods.

‌- Receive incoming stock, check for damages or shortages.

‌- Manage damaged stock and process claims accordingly.

  • Maintain the cold chain and product freshness standards.

‌- Record and track stock on hand

‌ Place and follow up on stock orders.

‌- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards

‌ Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out)
