Property Financial Bookkeeper (with RoomRaccoon Experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Financial Bookkeeper with hands-on experience using RoomRaccoon, a leading Property Management System (PMS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the property, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health and operational transparency of our hospitality/property business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
· Reconcile daily bookings, payments, and guest charges using RoomRaccoon PMS.
· Generate and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
· Prepare and submit VAT returns and other compliance documents.
· Monitor accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of outstanding debts.
· Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for the property.
· Maintain organized financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities as required.
· Collaborate with the property management team to improve financial workflows and reporting processes.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role, preferably in the hospitality or property sector.
· Proficient in RoomRaccoon PMS (minimum 6 months hands-on experience preferred).
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
· Experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
