Mission of the role:
Join us as a Quality Technician. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electronic products, specifically collision avoidance systems, meet the company's quality standards before they are dispatched to clients. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
Your Mission:
- Perform final inspections on electronic products before packaging and dispatch.
- Verify that all components are correctly assembled and functioning according to specifications.
- Conduct functional and visual tests using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and relevant industry regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
- Uphold Epiroc's values and "The Epiroc Way" in all internal and external interactions.
- Perform any other reasonable duties within scope of competence.
Your Profile:
- Matric (Grade 12) essential.
- Technical diploma or certificate in electronics or quality control preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic product inspection or quality control.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and procedures.
- Experience in the mining or industrial electronics sector is advantageous.
