This is a unique opportunity to lead and live at the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, to oversee all Lodge Operations and ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
You will be the heart of our operations, creating a living legacy of hospitality and conservation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- As the custodian(s) of the Silvan Safari experience, you will be the visionary leader(s) who seamlessly blends unparalleled guest hosting with a meticulous approach to operational excellence. This role is about more than management; it's about creating a living sanctuary where luxury meets wild nature.
- Champion our land conservation projects, sustainability initiatives, and community outreach programs, ensuring the enduring health of our pristine wilderness.
- Guest Relations: Act as the primary host and point of contact for guests, personally greeting and engaging with them to ensure every need is met with warmth, efficiency, and a proactive approach.
- Operational Oversight: Manage all lodge departments, including front of house, housekeeping, food & beverage, spa, maintenance and guiding.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and inspire all staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, inventory, and procurement to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Vehicle & Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and readiness of all vehicles and equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the lodge adheres to all local, national, and industry-specific regulations and standards, while overseeing comprehensive health and safety protocols and crisis management procedures.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven Experience: A combined minimum of 5 years management experience in a luxury safari or hospitality environment.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to lead by example and inspire a team to deliver excellence.
- Operational Knowledge: A deep understanding of lodge and safari operations, with a strong focus on safety and guest satisfaction.
- Compliance Expertise: A solid grasp of relevant industry regulations and a meticulous approach to compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a calm and resourceful demeanor, yet versatile, resourceful, resilient and collaborative.
- A genuine love for the bush and a commitment to wildlife conservation.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification(s).
