ROLE PURPOSE

The Installation and Fault Technician will program, set up and install VoIP and / other hardware solutions for clients and attend to faults logged via different channels.

A Company vehicle will be available for the on-site installations and Fault resolutions.

DUTIES REQUIRED BUT NOT LIMITED TO


• Report to the office on time daily and proven ability to display good time keeping skills.


• Display a strong sense of responsibility to take care of company assets with respect to vehicles and laptops.


• Receive calls from customers with technical requests and assistance.


• Providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.


• Managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks (IP equipment etc.)


• Diagnosing errors or technical problems, trouble shoot to determine the cause of technical problems experienced and determining proper solutions.


• Use various Lanline software programs to find and interpret Information.


• Make appropriate recommendations to and training of customers.


• Document processes and solutions.


• Providing regular feedback and reports to your manager and share best practices across teams.


• Operate the Company vehicle safely and adhere to all road safety rules.


• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the teams.


• Daily assistance to our dispatch department related to the dispatch of stock.


• Build positive relationships with customers and deliver excellent customer service.


• Ensure that feedback and follow-up is provided to customers where technical issues could not be resolved immediately.


• Ensure that technical knowledge is up to standard to meet customers' expectations.


• Adhere to Lanline Quality Assurance standards.


• Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures,

QUALIFICATION, CORE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

·       Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

·       At least 2 years' experience in programming and installations in LAN networking of hardware (i.e. phones, VoIP, IP phones etc.).

·       A solid knowledge and understanding of APN as a medium.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and Advanced Computer literacy skills.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English Required).

Beneficial:

·       Previous experience in setting up VoIP hardware.

·       Qualification pertaining to LAN networking and fundamentals.

·       Previous experience working with a ticketing system.

·       Porta Experience is advantages

OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

·       Ability to come into the office every day and drive around to clients when required.

·       South African citizen.

·       Clear criminal; credit and fraud record.

·       Driver's licence and own reliable transport
