My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will play a vital role in manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying tools, jigs, and dies to meet both customer and company requirements. **Key Performance Areas**:
Manufacture, repair, maintain, and modify tools, jigs, and dies to customer and company requirements.

Ensure that all tools and equipment meet quality standards and specifications.

Collaborate with the production team to improve manufacturing processes and optimize tool performance.

Work closely with the engineering team to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Provide technical support and expertise in tool, die, and jig repair and maintenance.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Utilize tic and arc welding techniques for tool steel and cast iron.

Knowledge Required:
Proficient in toolmaking techniques, including precision machining and metalworking.

Comprehensive understanding of tool, die, and jig repair and maintenance processes.

Basic knowledge of quality systems and the ability to ensure compliance with standards.

Experience in tic and arc welding of tool steel and cast iron.

Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Strong decision-making abilities to assess and address tooling challenges efficiently.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and tool parts.

Outstanding problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.

Meticulous attention to detail and consistent inspection techniques to ensure high-quality output.

**Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required**

Grade 12 and NQF Level 5 qualification

Qualified Tool and Jig maker

Minimum 4 years’ experience as Toolmaker within an automotive environment

**Salary**: R500.00 - R501.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Eastern Cape, Eastern Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
