- The Logistics team is looking for a
- ** Relief Depot Manager **for the
- ** Island View Terminal** area to join their team.
- As Relief Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the following activities:
**Stock Management**
- Maintain levels at set targets to minimise working capital requirements and to meet customer demands.
- Reconcile daily ensuring that sales transactions are processed, and quality control is maintained.
- Ensure stock gains/losses are within accepted norms/standards to minimise stock losses.
- Supervise the loading and distribution of product in the terminal to ensure: The right product, in the right time, at the right quantity against set service levels and transport KPI’s to meet customer requirements and improve the efficiency and optimisation of the transport.
- Ensure products loaded are reconciled daily to maintain quality and stock control.
- Ensure Fuel Controllers allocate and submit tank car business and allocations to Transnet timorously and correctly.
- Ensure timeous loading and dispatching of tank cars together with Fuel Controllers.
- Ensure Transactions on Ssam, SAP and EDI with regards to road and rail gantry are transacted correctly and timeously.
- Ensure product received into terminal via Natcos/Sapref/Engen and ships is of the correct quality, quantity and correct storage locations.
- Generate P201’s timorously and correctly after receipt has been completed and submitted to SARS so as to avoid penalties
- Ensure Barge is loaded with the correct volume and quality.
- Drain backs are conducted correctly so as to ensure TSA can claim from SARS as product is being returned into bonded warehouse
- Conduct blending activities (ULP to LRP) timeously and correctly so as to ensure quality and quantity.
- Ensure MMT decanting is conducted safely with strict adherence to the handling of Hazardous Chemical.
- You will ensure Transfers from Natcos, Sapref, Engen and ships including line flushes are done correctly and timorously
- Ensure delivery gains/losses are within accepted norms/standards to minimise stock losses.

**Maintenance**:

- Supervise the Terminal’s maintenance programmes at minimum cost ensuring no loss of revenue due to downtime in the terminal’s operation, the company’s assets are protected and all risk is minimised.
- Assist Terminal Manager in compiling annual maintenance budgets for terminal to ensure accurate and sufficient allocation funds.
- Maintenance and operation of VRU to ensure proper function.
- Alignment and maintenance to Integrity management and TOM- TOM / EDOC/TRA requirements.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Line Management

**HSEQ and Security**
- Ensure safe Terminal operations and Champion risk management by prioritizing risks of high consequence events, strengthening barriers and assurance steps to mitigate those risks and maintain HSSEQ systems.
- Minimise all risk pertaining to the company’s assets and stock, be an excellent corporate citizen, remain operational and ensure the safety of all people.
- Supervise operational crises and problems pertaining to the terminal by activating contingency plans and advising all affected parties so as to avoid any/mínimal disruption of the operational activity in the terminal.
- Achieve all set HSSEQ objectives
- Assist in the implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) at the Terminal

**People**
- Supervise all subordinates through continuous people management, staff development and coaching / mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that will attract and retain skilled manpower and increase productivity.
- Assist with the practical training of Operations and Management trainees and employees from other Terminals through on-the-job training and rotation within the terminal that will result in meeting the objective of the training programme

**Context and environment**
- Technical: strained storage capacity with no buffer stock along the supply chain Legal: historical practice of hospitality and product exchange agreements, with lack of controls among the industry players; outsourced fuel transport
- Monthly prices changes results in fluctuating demand.
- Manage the entire operation of the depot within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations governing the Industry thus ensuring high customer service levels with the aim of contributing to Totalenergies’s profitability and strategic supply positioning within the market.
- Manage report-consolidated results of the Depot and any exceptions thereto monthly together with the corrective actions plans to ensure accurate reporting of the Depot’s activities and results and recommend areas of improvement.
- ** KPI’s** - expenditure, TL exceptions, audit reports (safety, quality, environment, and admin), HSSEQ stats, stock loss reports
- Suitable 3-year tertiary qualification. Degree/BTech in Engin
