- BSC Degree / Masters in Biometrics, Statistics, Biochemistry/Chemistry
- NIR Calibration training / experience will be an advantage
- Laboratory and/or NIR experience will be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Animal Feed industry will also be an advantage

**Key performance areas**:

- Create new profiles and products and change product names and codes
- Export spectra and import wet chem results
- Assist with NIR troubleshooting (hardware and other issues)
- Proivde support to external NIR clients
- Direct interaction with national and international NIR suppliers and experts
- Manage NIR-based projects
- Assist with setting up of external calibrations and collaboration
- Ensure safe gathering and storing of data for calibration purposes
- Advise on calibration performance, validations and NIR management
- Interact/visit current clients and potential clients to market NIR products
- Promote new calibration products
- Compile, review and update SOPs, methods and work instructions
- Provide training on NIR related documents/hardware
- Adhere to all safety standards in the lab
