**Position Description**

Barrick is a large multinational gold and copper mining company, in search of a highly organized, motivated, and skilled **Fixed Term Project Manager (Global) **who will report to the VP for Group Integration and Digital.

You will be expected to align to the Barrick DNA and to operate within our mining assets with our best people teams. You will contribute in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance with Mine Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures and ensure daily targets are met.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the development and implementation of projects related to global systems, data analytics, reporting, and digital initiatives.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Implement and advocate the use of Agile methodology to ensure efficient and effective project development.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, milestones, schedules, budgets, and performance measures.
- Facilitate team meetings, provide project updates, and maintain clear communication across all team members and stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, motivating team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project, including invoicing, are handled accurately and promptly.
- Effectively manage project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Ensure all projects comply with quality standards and meet business expectations.

**Qualification requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP is preferred).

**Experience and competencies needed**
- Proven experience in managing multiple small to medium-sized projects, preferably in systems, data & analytics, reporting, or digital initiatives.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodology.
- Experience in the mining industry is a plus.
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external resources on project teams.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
- Strong initiative and a proactive approach.
- Strong ability to turn abstract concepts into concrete, executable plans and actions.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.
