Pump and Tank Technician Assistant

Minimum Requirements:

- Pipe fitting 3-5 years’ experience
- 3 - 5 years experience in Pump and Tank operation
- Relevant trade certificate
- Knowledge of Petroleum products and Service
- Basic understanding of Pump and Tank principles
- Basic understanding of health & safety principles
- Completing Tank and pump installations on new construction sites;
- Pumping over products/contaminated products from tanks to truck;
- Sanding down, repairing, and repainting tanks;
- Ensuring that all general maintenance is done;
- Installing STP and Maintenance/fault Finding;
- Assisting with Installation of UPP or Petrol plus piping underground.
- Mounting of decals on pump and tank and all Signs required (Fire Extinguisher/hose rail;
- Installing Pulse Cube and required pipe work from tank to nozzle and hose.
- Installing of all pipe work above and underground.
- Installing BTF
- Working overtime when required
- Assisting Pump and Tank Supervisors with all the related task
- Assisting in ensuring that all new pump and tank as well as repairs are performed;
- Ensuring that comply with the Health & Safety and Hazardous goods Regulations;
- Ensuring that the correct safety gear/equipment is utilized
- Maintaining discipline and work ethics within the department.
