Technical Draftsman

**Key responsibilities**:

- Create and modify 2D and/or 3D drawings using relevant software.
- Work with clients to understand and translate design requirements into drawings.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with applicable industry standards and internal guidelines.
- Maintain version control records on all drawings and documentation.
- Contribute to project planning and documentation as required.
- Complete tasks within established deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Prepare cost analysis based on technical drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labour involved.
- Prepare bills of quantities.
- Prepare client quotations.
- Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenses.
- Monitor and tracks project progress and is responsible for measuring and valuing variations in work during the project.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that client requirements are met.
- Perform monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and sales.
- Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business requirements.
- Monitor all information relating to the project, including labor, material and other cost forecasts, to ensure that budgets are met.
- Provide all relevant information to Management Members for review at the specified intervals.
- Assist the relevant Management Members with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- National Certificate / Diploma in Technical Drawing / CAD / Mechanical Design, or similar.
- At least 3 - 5 year’s experience in the relevant field.
- Experience and proficiency with CAD programs.
- Knowledge of ISO drawing standards.
- Strong spatial and technical insight.
- Accurate and attentive work style.
- Excellent communicator and motivator with the ability to communicate across all levels.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (write and speak).
- Organized and able to work under pressure.
- Able to work well within a team-based environment.
- Business and commercial oriented.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

**Key requirements**:

- Must be able to commute to the Blackheath Industrial area on a daily basis, or willing to relocate at own expense
- Driver’s license
- Reliable own transport

Pay: R25 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blackheath, Western Cape 7580: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
