The Performance Specialist will be part of the Supply Chain team dedicated to a Business Unit, providing reporting and data insights, under the guidance of the Regional Service team who will ensure consistency across BU’s and enable effective performance management across Group Supply Chain.
Job Description
Provide specialized reporting and analytics support to the Supply Chain BU teams, ensuring an accurate and relevant view of Supply Chain performance at a BU and asset level.
**Safety, Health & Environmen**t
- Identify ways to support relevant safety, health & sustainability opportunities and risks and ensure relevant activities complies with all Safety, Health & Environmental requirements.
- Implement relevant activities to ensure that expectations are met in a way that reduces safety related incidents
- Identify value creation opportunities that will deliver Anglo American’s safety and social performance requirements
**Performance & Delivery**
- General_
- Contribute to the overall Supply Chain strategy for the BU, providing insights on performance targets and improvement priorities
- Support BU budgeting processes, providing the required Supply Chain information for accruals and annual budget requirements.
- Collaborate with the Regional Services team to ensure a consistent regional approach to performance management, leveraging insights from SC services and Market Intelligence to identify existing and potential issues and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly Supply Chain reporting for the Business Unit, in partnership with the Global Centre of Excellence, providing visibility to performance against KPI targets.
- Support preparation for quarterly performance reviews and participate in reviews to provide insights behind the data, follow-up on actions from prior reviews and communicate feedback to the BU Supply Chain team.
- Review operational performance dashboards on a weekly basis to ensure regional services are providing the requisite BU performance and highlight new or emerging issues which need to be addressed.
- Coordinate with operational excellence teams across sites to monitor issues, define SMART improvement plans and engage the appropriate regional support to deliver the requisite improvement.
- Support internal and external audit processes, coordinating the provision of Supply Chain documentation and actions required to address any audit findings.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain platform(s) and arrange and facilitate cross BU working sessions to develop optimal solutions.
- Provide support to end-users by resolving non-technical issues and coaching on system functionality.
- Monitor, maintain and report on data and system health to ensure integrity and sustainability of data and systems.
- Commercial Value Delivery & Supplier Partnering_
- Contribute to BU commercial performance, working with global/regional commercial teams to achieve excellence.
- Supply Chain Excellence_
- Foster collaborative relationships across the Supply Chain and partner with Information Management, Global Shared Services and service providers to deliver best-in-class business solutions.
- Provide specialist support to drive effective change through the organisation that will promote the use and adoption of processes and system solutions.
- Coordinate with operational excellence teams across sites to identify and monitor issues, support definition of improvement plans and engage regional continuous improvement teams for support.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analytics in order to improve the current performance status.
- Support the feedback loop for Business Unit and asset Operating Model processes, providing data to support analysis and coordinating Supply Chain assistance for improve phase.
- Conduct broad scanning activities to keep up to date with innovative approaches and opportunities.
