PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to;
- Supporting all supply chain procedures, from coordinating deliveries, collections and sharing of information with internal and external stake holders in order to facilitate for efficient customer service.
- To effectively drive communicate with all levels of employees in their organization to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding logistics initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Achieve high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction through excellence in reporting and communication.
- Drive alignment between Logistics Planning activities, execution and Sales enquiries.
- Ensure speedily execution of 3rd party logistics / distribution.
- Ensure speedily execution of collection requests.
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse and logistics status.
- Maintain and filing of departments records / documents.
- Coordinate activities with other departments such as Commercial and Transport service providers.
- Execute required purchase requisition follow up on approval and execution in this regard.
- Control logistics refreshments.
- Identify and propose areas of improvement

- Monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of Logistics resources.
- Ensure housekeeping is kept to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation and audit requirements.REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and skill
- Proven work experience in general logistics environment.
- Highly effective admin skills and techniques.
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role within logistics/supply chain.
- This role is accountable for Pietermaritzburg DC administration, and directly reports to Outbound Logistics
