- BTech in Quantity Survey or a relevant B degree
- Up to two (2) years’ relevant experience
- Computer literacy
- Physically fit
- Professional driver’s permit (D): Code B.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide a basic professional support to the Major Upgrades and
Maintenance Project Management Unit in respect of providing a
specialist function to the Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager and
Occupational Health and Safety Professional Officer in the
implementation of major upgrades and maintenance capital and
operating projects in order to ensure sustainable service delivery
discipline by working under guidance of a senior/ principal specialist/
generalist or manager according to predefined procedures
processes and standard practices
- Provide quantity surveying and project management expertise with
a range of facilitation activities during the implementation of specific
maintenance and upgrade projects in the region and ensure that
legal and other requirements are complied with
- Handle routine correspondence and enquiries with regard to the
functioning of the Department/ Branch, by providing a technical
**reporting service**: drafting routine correspondence, responding to
enquiries and requests, safekeeping of research material, compiling
and maintaining statistical records, preparing routine reports in order
to facilitate and support the effective functioning of the
Department/ Branch
- Assist the Quantity Surveyor with a range of quantity surveying
activities during the implementation of specific Maintenance and
Upgrade projects in the region by providing a quantity surveying
support in order to ensure that the contract administration is
managed effectively to ensure project success
- develop and train technical staff in key business processes and
procedures relating to project and general administration To support
