**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
The Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for planning, creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across multiple online platforms to boost brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales conversions. This role is vital in shaping GALXBOY’s digital presence by delivering compelling content that drives both customer interaction and revenue growth. Collaboration with marketing and merchandising teams is essential to ensure all content aligns with GALXBOY’s brand identity and retail objectives, ultimately supporting the company’s market expansion and profitability.
**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
Campaign Execution
- Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including both paid and organic initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment on campaign goals and contribute culturally relevant ideas to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Track and analyse campaign performance metrics such as engagement, conversion rates, and ROI to inform optimization and reporting.
Content Strategy & Development
- Manage and schedule social media content across channels, supporting content creation, timely publishing, and active community engagement.
- Drive culturally relevant storytelling to resonate with GALXBOY’s audience, ensuring platform benchmarks are met, engagement rates increase, and a positive community environment is maintained.
Social Media Management
- Support the collection and analysis of insights through performance reports, post-campaign analysis (PCA), and competitive monitoring. Track cultural trends and consumer behaviour to identify both local and international market opportunities.
- Deliver timely insight reports, translate data into actionable learnings, and present findings using clear data visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyse digital campaign performance by pulling weekly metrics and compiling them into standardized templates.
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports to inform strategy and optimize future campaigns.
- Analyse campaign performance to maintain and increase open rates and conversions, while actively managing and growing mailing lists.
Paid Media Management
- Assist in managing PPC and paid media campaigns by supporting campaign execution, collaborating with agencies, and aiding SEO optimizations.
- Help target international growth markets while maintaining budget discipline and meeting key objectives such as revenue targets.
**SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
- Matric certificate compulsory.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Media or Digital Marketing or similar.
- 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing role, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or youth culture brands.
- Exposure to international marketing or global brand communications is advantageous.
- Basic graphic design or content editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) are a plus
- Content & Communication Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to analyse content and campaign performance metrics.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of legal requirements, copyright laws, and digital accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of website content publishing and asset management tools.
- Knowledge of retail marketing cycles, seasonal promotions, and consumer buying behaviour.
