Role and Responsibilities

Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Manager - Social Media to lead our digital marketing and social media strategy across South Africa, Southern Africa, East Africa, and West Africa.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

Digital Marketing:

- Plan and execute and optimize all digital marketing campaigns across various social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Manage the digital marketing budget, optimizing spend across all channels to ensure maximum ROI.

Social Media Management:

- Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy and manage the day-to-day content calendar across all key platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X).
- With agency, create, curate, and publish engaging, high-quality, and on-brand content (images, video, written copy).
- With agency, act as the voice of the brand online. Monitor, listen, and respond to comments and DMs in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive community.
- Plan, execute, and optimize all paid social media campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads), managing budgets and targeting to drive leads and conversions.
- Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers, brand advocates, and potential partners.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring social media trends, competitor activities, and new platform features, integrating them into the strategy

Major KPI's

- Manage the digital marketing budget, optimizing spend across all channels to ensure maximum ROI.
- Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns (ROI and KPIs) using tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and native platform analytics.
- Work closely with internal teams to create integrated campaigns and ensure brand consistency

3. [Dotcome Experience Improvement] Perform improvement activities including Search Engine Optimization(SEO), loading performance enhancement and UX optimization under the strategies to enhance customer purchase experience.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field. (Essential)
- Certifications from reputable organisations in social media strategy and digital marketing, such as the Google Analytics Certification, Facebook Blueprint Certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge and a commitment to professional development (advantageous)
- Demonstrated success in social media marketing, with 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience managing professional social media accounts, including content creation, community management, and paid social campaigns. (A portfolio or examples will be required).
- Skills in graphic design, video editing, and content management systems. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Canva, or similar software would be advantageous for creating engaging multimedia content.
- Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments

Additional Skills that are advantageous

Social Media Platforms

- Proficiency in managing and optimizing content on major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).

Analytics Tools

- Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar platforms for tracking performance.

Content Management Systems (CMS)

- Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or HubSpot for managing digital content.

CRM Systems

- Basic understanding of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for managing customer interactions and data.

Graphic Design Tools

- Knowledge of tools like Canva or Adobe Creat
