**Job Number** - 71077 **Job Type** - Permanent **Job Title** - Electrician **Computer Skills** - Drawing **Industry** - Steel **City** - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) **Province** - Gauteng **Purpose Duties and Responsibilities** - Ensure scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance repairs of electrical equipment to reduce disruption to production. - Liaise with Foreman / Maintenance Manager on any deviations within the production plant. - Conduct electrical fault finding on equipment, working on drives, transformers, PLC, etc. - "Adhere to isolation and lockout procedures as per legal requirements. - Maintain and update mandatory documentation, i.e. tripwire, trough-limits, transformer inspections, etc." - Review relevant procedures to ensure effective execution of maintenance and electrical activities. - Comply with Company operational requirements as and when required, i.e. availability for standby, shift work, overtime, shut down-December shutdown compulsory. - Complete the isolation Logbook and Shift Report Book on a daily basis. - Complete the Risk Assessment Book for every task commenced - Attend daily SHE Box Talk and complete SHE Box Talk Book. - Ensure completed electrical equipment test records are handed to Maintenance Administrator for filing. - Ensure completed scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance records are handed to Maintenance Planner for filing. - Assure a safe and hazard-free workplace in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and safe practices. - Ensure compliance with Wireman license registration requirements where applicable (i.e. forklift drivers, crane drivers)**Inherent Requirements** **Qualification and Experience Requirements** - Grade 12 / N3 Eng. - Trade Qualification in Electrical. - 2 years minimum experience in Heavy Manufacturing **Skills and Abilities** - Be able to speak and understand English. - Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings. - Be able to read and use precision drawings. - Have knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes. **What Qualification** - Grade 12 / N3 Eng, Trade Qualification in Electrical **Minimum Qualification** - Certificate **Status** - Available
