**About the role**
The coordinator will be employed by 350.org and report to the 350.org South African Team Leader (350.org is the lead partner of the Coalition), but will work closely with all Coalition partners. Currently the other Coalition partners are: CER, ACRP, CALS, Oxfam South Africa, Justica Ambiental and Earthlife Africa.
**Responsibilities**:
- Finance
- Working with the 350.org finance team, prepare and track the FFCSA budget, including tracking of subgrants. Provide regular reports on the budget.
- Support the annual audit: ensure that the project finances are meticulously up-to-date, all supporting documentation is stored and easily accessible and during the audit, support the finance team in responding to audit queries.
- Administrative
- Coordination of the monthly and ad-hoc FFCSA meetings: scheduling, preparing the agenda and ensuring minutes are captured and shared with clear, time-bound action points.
- Manage FFCSA information resources - ensure all relevant documents and information is stored, organised and easily accessible to partners.
- For in-person meetings, organise the logistics of the meeting including venue, accommodation and transport.
- Respond to and direct enquiries to the Coalition to relevant members.
- Together with the 350.org development team, compile regular reports on FFCSA work for funders and ensure reporting/project spreadsheets are kept up to date with accurate information.
- Project work
- Coordinate research projects. Working with the Coalition to develop terms of reference, engage researchers (either FFCSA partners or consultants) and manage the research project through to completion including regular feedback and support in disseminating research outputs to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support to partners for FFCSA projects, including logístical support and potentially on-ground support. Projects could include a DFI/Civil Society Forum, a research project with and in a community affected by a DFI project and the FFCSA website.
- From time to time, take on other tasks assigned by FFCSA (e.g. media reviews and alerts pertaining to target DFIs).
**Competencies**
- **Technical**: Bookkeeping, administrative and finance management, particularly for not-for-profit organisations, including tracking budgets, preparing narrative and financial reports - high proficiency with spreadsheet basics is required. Experience in reporting to funders, management of logistics of meetings, travels, workshops and other events. Knowledge and experience in organising files, data, etc.
- **Relationship Management**: Ability to build, nurture, promote and influence healthy work relationships, particularly across different organisations with different ways of working and to work as an effective member of the Coalition. Ability to discuss work issues and to manage conflict. Ability to interact with staff from diverse cultures and backgrounds with sensitivity and respect.
