Reporting to the Executive Director, GTI is seeking to appoint an Education Leader on a full
- time basis. The Education Leader is the driving force behind GTI's educational strategy and program excellence. This role serves as the key link between various organizational departments, providing direction and leadership in the educational domain while playing a vital role in developing partnerships, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. By aligning GTI's educational initiatives with its long-term objectives, the Education Leader ensures strategic and operational excellence throughout all programs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Strategic Planning and Program Development
- Lead the ongoing refinement of the Future Leaders Program, aligning it with GTI's short-term and long-term goals.
- Innovate new educational programs that support GTI’s vision, contributing to the organization's overall strategic planning.
- Serve as the educational voice on GTI's leadership team, offering insights and direction for the organization's growth.

2. Program Management and Operations Oversight
- Oversee the development and continual enhancement of GTI's curricula, ensuring programs reflect cutting-edge educational practices.
- Manage the implementation of the Future Leaders Program across all regions, handling HR-related aspects of intern management.
- Supervise operational aspects of educational initiatives, ensuring program effectiveness and goal achievement.

3. Partnership Development and External Engagement
- Drive the creation of new partnerships seeking out and cultivating relationships with educational institutions, government bodies, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent GTI in national and international educational forums, presenting and facilitating workshops to increase GTI's visibility.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on high-level engagement with potential and existing partners, ensuring GTI's programs are well-supported and aligned with external opportunities.

4. Fundraising and Reporting
- Collaborate with the Advancement Leader and Executive Director to actively identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, including drafting proposals and ensuring program alignment with funder requirements.
- Directly contribute to funder reports, ensuring the timely and accurate documentation of program impact and outcomes.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track program performance, preparing comprehensive reports to guide strategic decision-making.

5. Team Leadership and Knowledge Management
- Lead the Education Team, including Regional School Coordinators, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development.
- Develop and manage GTI’s knowledge resources, overseeing the implementation of the Theory of Change, Monitoring & Evaluation Plan, and professional development curricula.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

6. Collaboration and Synergy Across Departments
- Work closely with the Operations Leader to ensure program financial sustainability, aligning educational initiatives with budgetary constraints.
- Engage with the Advancement Leader to develop strategic partnerships, ensuring GTI’s programs receive the necessary support and visibility.
- Contribute to the overall leadership team’s efforts, facilitating cross-departmental initiatives to enhance GTI’s growth and mission fulfilment.

7. Board and Committee Involvement
- Actively participate in the Board’s Education Committee, contributing to strategic planning and providing quarterly reports on educational progress and challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive board reports, offering insights and recommendations for advancing GTI’s educational objectives.

Pay: R400 000,00 - R550 000,00 per year
