Junior Copywriter

We are a Pretoria-based fast-growing group of brands operating in different industries, and we are looking for a dynamic and creative junior copywriter to join our team on-site.
A copywriter who is a capable storyteller, editor, and strong, original content creator for our brands’ digital channels, including social media, as well as various communication channels. This is a perfect starting position for a recently qualified person looking to break into the marketing and advertising industry in a small, friendly workspace with lots of opportunities for creativity and developing hidden talents.

Responsibilities typically include:

- Must be able to write confidently across a variety of media platforms and
disciplines, including advertising, video and audio scripting, web and social media,
business communication, etc.
- Write, edit and proof effective sales-driven copy for marketing material across all
channels.
- Editing and proofreading a variety of documents, including articles, business
communications and proposals, etc.
- Generating strong content and advertising ideas.
- Able to work within a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to improve workflow and processes efficiently.
- Must be deadline-driven with a passion for retail, food and hospitality industries.
- Able to produce excellent copy with minimum guidance.
- Ability to understand and simplify complex ideas into customer-friendly
communication.

**Requirements**:

- 1 - 2 years relevant work experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
- Degree or Diploma in Copywriting, English or Communication, or similar field.
- SEO writing experience or qualification is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
- Understanding of and experience in using Google, Microsoft and various social
media management tools will be an advantage.
- Pretoria-based resident, with own transportation, is a must.

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month
