Turner & Townsend is a quality driven, international construction and management consultancy recognised for the value and innovation we bring to every commission we undertake. We are looking for a Risk Specialist on a fixed term contract.

Our people are the key to our success and are our most important asset. As Risk Specialist you will join our Johannesburg office team to provide services that help our clients devise strategies to deliver successful business solutions prior to sanction, achieve confidence around project delivery, ensure projects are effectively managed & controlled and facilitate the capture and transfer of knowledge.
- Analyse risk data to support understanding the potential impacts of risks and proactive flagging of impacts across the portfolio
- Identify trends that may present risk to projects and/or the portfolio
- Improve processes, tools and systems used to gather risk data
- Monitor risks to proactively identify areas that may alter risk levels for known decisions
- Facilitate risk workshops and RCAs to refine internal project estimates
- Provide support to PMs
- Develop risk dashboards to raise the visibility of portfolio risk

**Qualifications**
- Additional education or certification in project management or risk management is advantageous (e.g., CAPM/Prince 2, PMP, RMP)
- 5 years’ proven work experience as a risk analyst in mining or other complex operating environments
- Proficient with Microsoft product suite (incl. PowerBI)
- Good understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration
