We are looking for a Bookkeeper who will accurately record daily financial transactions, updating a general ledger and preparing trial balances for perusal by the Head of Finance. The bookkeeper at all times should strive to act in the best interests of the company, remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organisation.

**Reporting Structure**:Head of Finance - Direct Report

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily update of the cashbook in Sage Evolution and Bank reconciliation to be done weekly.
- Accurate loading of Payments with accompanying documents attached.
- All receipts to be allocated correctly to the relevant client and to be shared with the Project Managers for allocation in the access system.
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations to be submitted by the 7th day of the month.
- Process invoice requests timeously using the approved quote and budget as a source of reference.
- Receipt payments received accurately to the correct client.
- Flag invoices that are overdue to the Head of Finance and relevant Project Managers.
- Monthly analyse the Debtors Aging for reporting purposes.
- Process all invoice from suppliers, according to the company policies and procedures.
- Send the course expense invoices to the Project Managers for coding and approval and verify if the expenses have been budgeted for.
- Flag all the invoices that have been designated as accruals for verification and approval before payment.
- Monthly analyse the Creditors Aging for reporting purposes
- Closing of the cashbook, debtors, and creditors in preparation of the year end audit.
- Assist in preparing all documents required by the auditors for the annual audit.
- Assist in preparing the samples requested by the auditors for the annual audit.
- Assist and support the BBBEE and any SARS audit as required
- Ensure that all finance procedures are compliant to the company policies.
- Ensure that a daily back up is done on Sage Evolution.
- Send banking daily to Head of Finance & Project Managers
- The company credit card to be reconciled monthly and costs allocated the relevant codes.
- Flag any costs that have not been approved.
- Assist with the HR Administration
- Check CSD compliance weekly.

**Qualification**:

- Finance related Diploma / 1st Degree (Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping / Finance Degree)
- 10 years experience in Bookkeeping

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R23,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
