Personal Assistant: Public Participation, Ref No

**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a secretarial support service to a senior manager(s). This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification (a certificate of completion should be provided); A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support service to management/ senior management.
**Recommendation**:
Willing to travel; A valid (Code B) or higher driving licence.
NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
**Competencies**:
Knowledge of the following: Relevant legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures; Basic financial administration; Skills in the following: Computer literacy; Communication (written and verbal); Good telephonic ettiquette; People skills; Ability to act with tact and discretion; Ability to do research and analyse documents and situations.
**Remuneration**:
R 294 321 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration: Employees' service benefits or obligations (13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or cofunded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
