**What will you do?**
- Job purpose- The Senior Research and Investment Analyst will perform in-depth and quality investment research, with a particular focus on investment solutions. This includes but is not limited to manager research, formulating and implementing solutions that will fit a particular client need, a high standard of client service delivery, sales support, and presentations both to financial intermediaries, media and the Glacier Sales and Distribution team. It is a cross-functional investment specialist position with various investment and product set capabilities within Glacier across a wide variety of stakeholders. These stakeholders include Sanlam Retail Affluent (SRA), Sanlam Investments, financial intermediaries, direct clients, and the general media. This role will also specifically involve assisting the Head of Solutions.- Key outcomes- The following outcomes and responsibilities are expected:
- In depth manager research
- Assisting in driving the overall Glacier Manco value proposition.
- Contributing to and the positioning of the Glacier Invest and Consult offering.
- Contributing to and the positioning of Life investments.
- Driving successful investment thought leadership.
- Presenting relevant topics to intermediaries.
- Quality market research within the team.

- Qualifications and experience- Relevant financial post-graduate qualification (CFA3 an advantage),
- Asset manager research experience is important.
- 3-5yrs relevant experience in the retail financial and investment environment.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Portfolio construction will be an advantage
- Knowledge of linked investment service provider (LISP) products.
- Knowledge of Glacier International, its product set and value proposition.
- Knowledge of Glacier, Sanlam Retail Affluent Business cluster and Sanlam Investments.
- Previous experience of managing / leading teams will be beneficial.
- Advanced MS Excel capability.
- Knowledge of investment and economic principles.
- A valid driver’s license.
