Bookkeeper

Great opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-known and renowned interior design business based in Cape Town, performing projects across Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe and America.
The role will predominantly entail bookkeeping and finance functions with additional administrative duties.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

**Finance**
- Capturing of bank statements on QuickBooks.
- Reconciling bank statements.
- Printing of customer age analysis and follow-up on payments due and customer queries.
- Reconciling debtors where necessary and following up on customer queries and differences.
- Capturing supplier invoices to be paid.
- Reconciling creditors where necessary and following up on supplier queries and differences.
- Printing of remittances for supplier invoices.
- Accounting for international transactions.
- Cross-border payments.
- Filing of proof of payments to the remittance advices.
- Sending out customer statements.
- Updating of credit card receipts.
- Responsible for statutory reporting i.e., VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.
- Liaise with the auditors.
- Work closely with the project manager.
- Perform administrative functions i.e., booking of flights, managing diaries, booking meetings, etc.
- Manage petty cash.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Degree, Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping or finance-related field.
- Qualified by experience.
- 5+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Solid reconciliation skills.
- Accurate and attention to detail.
**Remuneration**:
- R240,000 to R360,000 per annum ctc.
