Looking for a new challenging and rewarding career ? Look no further We are seeking an experienced and effective technician who can perform diagnostics and on-site repairs, with a focus on rebuilding transmissions and axles.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Artisan and have at least 5 years of experience in a workshop environment in the role of rebuilding components and at least 3 years of experience in complete vehicle fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment. You will have an in-depth understanding of complete vehicles and the mechanical and electrical interdependence between components/systems.
You will be responsible for rebuilding and assembling transmissions/axles, testing transmissions on the test bench, and commissioning repaired and new units. You will also determine the root cause/primary failure on transmissions and perform accurate and effective field service diagnostics and on-site repairs. Accurate root cause identification for transmission/axle failures is a must.
You will be required to work after hours and sleep out when the job requires it, so a valid driver's license and passport are essential. You must be an effective communicator both internally and externally, and you will act as a customer liaison, keeping the customer up to date with field service repairs.
Ensuring repair quality and customer satisfaction are key responsibilities. You must be able to work under pressure on a variety of different products and be willing to take on any challenge that comes your way.
