The Faculty Office plays a key role in supporting the academic programme and providing administrative excellence. The Faculty of Education at the University of the Western Cape develops the intellectual and professional capacity of students in teaching and related fields as well as supporting education leadership and management.

**Key Performance Areas**

The duties and responsibilities of the successful incumbent will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Oversee the resource centre resources, activities and usage
- Support staff to enhance the learning experience of undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Provide support to enhance students' abilities to use a range of teaching aids and for micro-teaching and work-integrated learning.
- Provide guidance and training on information management, including searches, citations, bibliographic management software and referencing techniques to postgraduate students and researchers.
- Provide first line ICT support to students and staff
- Attend to all ICT matters within the resource centre
- Liaison between faculty and ICS
- Training of staff and students, incl. recruiting, supporting and training student assistants to provide the necessary resource centre services to students and staff.
- Coordinating the Faculty website
- Administration
- Other duties as required by Faculty management

**Minimum Requirements**
- Postgraduate qualification in Education (NQF Level 8)
- A minimum of five (5) years’ teaching experience at school level or in Higher Education
- Proficiency in ICT knowledge and software

**The following will be advantageous**
- Experience in materials development to support learning, teaching and assessment
