**_ Position Purpose:_**
- To Develop and lead the Group Wellness strategy to ensure that Human capital risks are mitigated through Gap analyses,
reviews, Policies, processes and methodologies for the entire Transnet and ensure that solution focused Wellness
programmes are developed.
- Assess the Organisational Wellness needs and address them through a holistic Wellness Strategy, which incorporates
economic, political, environmental, social, legal and financial needs.
- Establish and Embed a methodology that will address behavioural risks and address factors that impact on business such
as human factor errors, improve and enhance organisational effectiveness processes by aligning to the overall People
- Management Strategy.
**_ Position outputs:_**
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMMES (EAP)
- To develop, implement and manage effective corporate-wide EAP strategies and governance for Transnet aligned with the
overall People Management Strategy and Transnet business requirements.
- Conduct fore-casting and planning in relation to EAP to ensure sustainability of the organisation.
- Inform long-term tactical and long-term fore-casting ad planning with insights, trends and impactful analyses across the
organisation.
- Oversee the Health and Wellness governance and reporting at an organisational level on behalf of Transnet.
- Develop, implement and facilitate implementation of Health and Wellness Strategies, systems, processes and frameworks
for Transnet that are aligned with and support the People Management Strategy.
- Establish and embed the EAP strategy, system, methodologies and frameworks across the Organisation.
- Develop and facilitate implementation of EAP services and products with relevant key stakeholders across the Organisation.
- Ensure integration across Operating Divisions and provide leadership for the EAP.
- Coordinate and track all EAP system deliverables from a central point to ensure cohesiveness.
- As Process owner of EAP, formulate the Policies and procedures for EAP.
- Ensure effective facilitation of EAP processes in line with Transnet Policy and governance rules.
- Research, develop and implement sound methodologies and practices that meet organisational needs and that will support
the achievement of the Transnet business targets and objectives.
- Liase and lead engagements and ensure sound stakeholder relations with executive management level and key
stakeholders such as Labour, HR Business partners, OD counterparts and relevant service providers and external
- stakeholders.
- Devise and implement best practices reporting and monitoring systems.
- Keep abreast of EAP theory, methodologies and trends, both locally and internationally.
- Ensure effective integration of EAP with other processes in the HR Value chain.
- Ensure integration of EAP with relevant systems including HCM or EHWS.
EMPLOYEE WELLNESS
