Optimal Growth Technologies is looking for a Treasury Specialist - Forex and Hedge Accounting to manage the processes relating to transactions in foreign currency and cash flow related processes in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with defined operating procedures, policies, SOX, compliance and business partner service level agreements.

**Requirements**:
BCom graduate, in Accountancy, Investments, Economics, Treasury or business related field

Completed SAICA articles

3 - 5 years’ experience

Experience dealing with the SARB & Exchange Control of the local banks

8+ years relevant experience, of which at least 5 years working experience in a Banking Treasury environment, specific to forex, hedging strategy and hedge accounting

**Duties**:

- Processing foreign payments and foreign receipt
- Preparing daily forex cash flow reporting
- Preparing and processing Hedge accounting and related journals
- Month end accounting of forex related transactions
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Identify foreign currency risk exposure and take forward cover (FEC)
- Identify cost saving measures on foreign currency risk exposures
- Monitor and maintain SOX controls for hedge accounting and foreign payments
- Monthly Forex management reporting
- Understanding of SARB approval requirements
- Preparing Forex related statutory packs and Disclosures with related IFRS
- Maintaining forex audit files and managing forex related audit queries
- Maintain hedging strategy and hedging policy for operations
- Continuous process improvement for foreign payments and hedge accounting
