Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.

The successful applicant will report to the Chief Survey and Mine Planning or nominee.

**MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate with Maths & Science.
- Chamber of Mines Certificate: Advanced Mining Survey or National Diploma in Mine Surveying.
- Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
- ** Advantageous**:Chamber of Mines Certificate: Advanced Mine Valuation

**EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to)**:

- 5 years practical mine surveying experience.
- 2 years practical experience use of survey equipment e.g. Total Station, GPS, Micro station and Model maker.
- 2 years practical experience on People management.

**DUTIES (including but not limited to)**:

- Execute all mine survey work such as profiling, survey of surface features and the measurement of the pits, dumps and stockpiles. To calculate survey work and plotting thereof on the plans. To provide information and measure outputs to enable the Mine Planners, the Mining Department, Engineers and other internal customer to make informed decisions.
- Compile and submit various reports / certificates as and when required to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate uploading of information onto central system / databases to enable report generation to meet statutory requirements and blasting plans.
- Ensure effective planning, allocation and availability of well maintained instruments. Benchmark new technology within the discipline to ensure that the Company remains abreast of good survey practices. Ensure that the relevant equipment licences are maintained, and that all staff are properly trained in the use of the equipment.
- Oversee and conduct issuebased and mini risk assessment in own area of work and within span of control.
- Compile, revise and update survey procedures and standards. Ensure accurate and timeous filing and safekeeping of all survey documentation. Oversee accurate archiving of survey plans, survey notes, peg installations, etc. Oversee and conduct PTO’s as and when necessary. Ensure the effective flow of information within the Survey section, including weekly feedback meetings.
- Ensure that the working area is safe and clean at all times. Ensure effective control of survey store room, i.e equipment control.
