Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Managers is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in the successful running of the branch, which includes sales, staff, and resource management - in our case the trailers.
The ABMs role is predominately office bound, but can extent to other areas like the yard and workshop. This person is in constant contact with our customers and staff, ensuring that excellent customer service is portrayed at all time. The ABM reports directly to the Branch Manager with no staff reporting to him/her.
1. RESPONSIBILITIES
- ANSWER THE PHONE,
- MAKE TRAILER BOOKINGS,
- ASSIST NEW CUSTOMERS IN COMPLETING THE REQUIRED FORMS,
- CAPTURE NEW CUSTOMER DETAILS ON THE SYSTEM,
- VERIFYING EXISTING CUSTOMER INFORMATION AND CAPTURING RENTAL REQUIREMENTS,
- PROMOTE AND MARKET THE BUSINESS,
- PROVIDE A HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE,
- EXECUTE DAILY, WEEKLY AND MONTHLY CHECKLISTS ACCURATELY AND COMPREHENSIVELY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LIST OF “GOLDEN RULES” AS REVIEWED FROM TIME-TO-TIME,
- FOLLOWING OFFICE PROCEDURES TO EXECUTE ALL FOUR ASPECTS OF THE BUSINESS NAMELY RENTAL, SALES, SERVICES, AND SPARES - IN A CONSISTENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER, AND THEREBY SATISFYING CUSTOMER DEMAND.
- FOLLOWING BACK-OFFICE PROCEDURES LIKE:
- Monthly Spares Stock Take,
- Weekly Trailer Maintenance,
- Weekly Office Stock Take,
- Weekly Tools Stock Take.
**SUPPORT THE BRANCH MANAGER IN MAXIMISING PROFITABILITY AND MEETING OR EXCEEDING TURNOVER TARGETS, ** ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY LEGISLATION.
