- Reporting to Foreman- Perform all fitting work.- Do preventative and corrective maintenance on all factory equipment.- Daily maintenance inspection of plants according to daily routine.- Follow maintenance schedules.- Reporting and fixing of faults and problems of equipment to your superior.- Perform active participation in planning and performing maintenance activities to rectify faults.- Perform stand-by duty after hours.- Maintain high standard of workmanship safety and housekeeping as well as company standard regulations, installations as per Government Regulations.- To perform other activities assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Foreman/Supervisor relating to the maintenance functions.- Work between two plants, i.e. Olifantsfontein & Nigel.- Attend Maintenance meetings.- Plan and execute all new mechanical work.- Stock purchases for all Mechanical components.- Assist in other positions / departments as and when required.- Maintain good housekeeping standards-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric.- Applicants must be a qualified Fitter with a recognized trade test.- Must have 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment.- Must be a machine or maintenance fitter- General machining experience as well as CNC, pneumatic / hydraulic maintenance experience is essential.- Must be prepared to work shifts, stand-by and/or overtime at short notice.- Must have own reliable transport.- Qualifications for Rigging, Work at heights, lock-out procedures are advantageous- Willing and able to work between two plants, i.e. Olifantsfontein & Nigel**What Qualification**
