**Job Purpose**:
To provide an administrative function for the Integration and Communication Department and to
assist with the administrative duties of line departments on a relief basis.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:

- Performing a reception and switchboard function.
- Controlling the mail.
- Performing routine administrative functions for the Integration and Communication
Department.
- Assisting the line departments in providing a back up in the event of staff shortages.
- Assisting the Senior Clerks in the records section.
- Performing word processing duties.
- Taking minutes in the meeting where required and producing and distributing the notes.

**Special Conditions**:
All post of Senior Clerk are inter-changeable.
Must be willing to travel to work sites anywhere in the eThekwini area to perform relief duties.

**Essential Requirements**:

- An appropriate level of secondary education.
- 6 Months relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy.

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Matric/Grade 12.
- 12 Months relevant experience.
