My client, a well established fruit exporter based in Somerset West, is seeking to employ a Jnr Cost Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join their team. A financial tertiary qualification and 2 - 3 years experience essential.

**Duties and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to**:

- Collecting and analysing data about a company’s operational costs.
- Developing and analysing cost standards.
- Performing account reconciliations.
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management.
- Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximise profit.
- Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
- Supporting other company accountants with general accounting work

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's Degree (Accounting or Financial Management)
- Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Proficient Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- SYSPRO or similar package (Pastel Accounting)
- Own transport (Essential)
- Experience in finance in the fruit industry advantageous
- Strong administrative skills.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Great communication skills.
- Proficient with accounting software and data collection and analysis tools
