**Responsibilities**: - Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results - Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus - Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff - Analyze data to find places of waste or overtime - Commit to plant safety procedures - Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets - Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements - Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts - Objectives setting, review and tracking progress against set targets. - Be responsible for production output, product quality and OTIF (on time in full) - Ensures achievement of the plant objectives within the global measurement standards on QCDM - Identifies operational challenges and in consultation with Business Leads and CoEs defines long term solutions meant to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness. - Responsible for COSO compliance in the execution of all critical activities. This talks to non deviations to defined controls in terms of site procurement, plant maintenance, quality responsibilities, EHS, human resources practices, and other activities normally expected of the Leader. - Leads the operation in the achievement of sound employee relations by ensuring that: - Site communication forums receive up to date business information in terms of performance - R&R sessions are held throughout the year - Leads the operation in word and actions defining the values of the business - Action is taken against deviations from expected behaviors - Leading the people agenda for the site (PPP and development) in partnership with the site HR Manager - Ensures that the business retains its key talent - Critical exposure is given to identified talent - Talent is fairly remunerated - Ensures delivery on finacial measurements for the site on: - Labour costs per kilogramme - Waste reduction - Raw material losses - Achievement on cost savings - Leads and ensures that the site complies and/or meets engineering standards both Pepsico and local legal requirements. - Delivers on agreed targets/plans on SKUs and volume - Leading site management team - Compliance with EHS standards - Leading the site Quality agenda through the appointed personnel - Approve and manage working capital budgets and projects Qualifications: - Engineering tertiary qualification - Proven Admin/Technical & Human Relations skills - Good communication skills - Analytical acumen - 8 to 15 years manufacturing management - People management - Quality systems - Accounting systems - Technical understanding - Strategic Focus - Thinking Skills - Motivates Others **“PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
