Distributor of industrial automation

Our client is looking an an Operations Supervisor to join their team in Cape Town.

Main functions:

- This person supervises and coordinates all functions relating to the warehouse (receiving, picking, packing, shipping & logistics, invoicing, stock counts, general housekeeping and management of 2 staff)
- General office admin (groceries, petty cash etc)
- Oversee logistics systems & procedures to ensure customer satisfaction by meeting order due dates, by specifically managing the Warehousing and Invoicing & Deliveries
- Monitor drivers’ traffic fines
- Expense claims
- Credit card reconciliations
- Petty cash
- Customer complaints
- Assist Marketing Co-ordinator with any events or activities at the Cape Town Branch
- Co-ordinate staff functions and events
- Arrange building maintenance according to maintenance schedule / lease agreement
- Access control (issuing and getting back tags, remotes & office keys)
- Report issues to IT Support
- Report issues to Telecoms provider
- Assist in organising meetings (refreshments, prepare any required documentation, etc.)
- Maintain/procure branch supplies, equipment, fixtures & furniture as per the relevant approval frameworks
- General management of office and office related service providers
- Liaison with Landlord
- Coordinating insurance claims with Finance team
- Branch staff discipline, attendance and efficiency management
- Branch specific Staff on-boarding & orientation, scanning of all documentation and submitting to Finance team
- Ensure that attendance register is completed by all staff

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- Warehousing / supply chain diploma or higher

**Skills**:

- At least 2 years in similar role
- Warehouse management (small branch, mid size volumes)
- Must be able to effectively do routine tasks and be satisfied with this as part of their daily tasks
- Multi-tasker and good with time and self management
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Supervisory/management experience
- Excel
- SAP business one is an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Must speak English and Afrikaans

**Salary / Package**:
R15,000 - R23,000 p/m (Depending on experience)
