**Job description**

DOVES is one of the largest funeral directing companies in Southern Africa and a major role player in the progressive development of the funeral industry in this part of the world

We are looking for an **Operational Branch Manager - based in Mthatha**

**Core function**: Assign and direct all work performed in the branch and to supervise all areas of the funeral operation. Manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation.

**Responsibilities**:The incumbent will be responsible for the growth and performance of the branch, managing all expenditure and assets. In addition you will manage the branch staff and the entire funeral related operational activities at the branch.

**Requirements needed**:
Must be highly analytical,

results-oriented and be able to multi-task,

negotiate,

work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in English.

Valid Driver’s Licence.

Excellent Verbal and Written Skills.

Grade 12/Matric and Management diploma or degree.

Computer literate.

**Experience required**: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing personnel or any supervisory related position is required.

**Key performance areas**:
Manage all the operational Funeral Processes and Procedures.

Marketing of Products, Control the Marketing of Funeral Services and Clients.

Control of Company Image.

ADHERENCE TO LEGISLATION: Ensure all staff adheres to Health and Safety legislation and

policies and procedures.

**BUDGET & ASSET CONTROL.**

Expenditure and Asset Control

Control Debtors: Action outstanding debtors according to the debtors age analysis and identify discrepancies in accordance with the credit policy.

Salary Market Related

**Job Type**: Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mthatha, Eastern Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Funeral Industry: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
